Church Alive seeks an experienced Creative Director to work alongside the Senior Pastors, who will work towards the mission of reaching, teaching and empowering people to impact their generation for Christ. The Creative Director has the overall responsibility for leading the creative process to develop the overall brand, development of the website/app, and production of videos, graphics, bumpers, and other creative elements for Sunday services, promotions, and the website/app. A key strength needs to be the ability to develop and manage others, as the Creative Director will lead teams of people to perform these functions.
Tasks and projects are not limited to what is listed below. Church Alive staff come together as one team to accomplish the overall mission of the House with a relentless grit to do whatever it takes to pack out the Kingdom of God. And we have a blast doing it--all in the name of Jesus!
This position is currently part-time with the potential to turn into a full-time role quickly and will close after January 11th 2019. Tasks and projects are not limited to what is listed on this job description. It is expected that all Church Alive staff are committed to do whatever it takes to fulfill the overall mission of the House.
Work alongside the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor of Church Alive to plan and create media: logos, videos, web graphics, app graphics, and other designs
Work with staff to design/develop printed media that accurately reflects vision and information.
See creative processes through from design to print, or in the case of video-from storyboarding to rendering
Connect gifted volunteers to the ministry in order to use their gifts as part of a team to develop future resources
Create videos for web use and for app use--covering content such as testimony stories, vision casting videos, informational videos, ministry spotlights, event documentary, etc.
Create print assets for ministry brochures, training manuals, tshirts, and other applications
Engage in the creative process with the Senior Pastors and others on projects to present multiple comps and possible directions then evaluate and tweak with them to a final product
Develop new avenues of printed/media communications to support the various aspects of Church Alive ministry
Oversee the ministry budget and see to it that budget guidelines are adhered to
Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as scheduled.
Network with others in similar roles at other churches to develop relationships and learn new best practices

Completion of Church Alive Thrive Class
3-5 years related experience
Strong people skills
Experience leading and working with teams
Performs well in high pressure situations

Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate those priorities to teams and managers
Team player with proven ability to work in a dynamic and evolving work environment
Experience using Adobe InDesign or comparable design software
Experience using Final Cut Pro or comparable editing software
Experience in videography and photography
Technical capacity (ministry understanding)
